The RATTstage is set to appear at Rugby’s largest community event!
Rugby Area Talent Trust will be providing 5 hours of live music throughout Rugby Rotary Clubs’ Spring Fair, which runs on Whitehall Recreation Ground from 11:30 on Bank Holiday Monday 02 May.
The RATTstage will be set up in the north-east corner of the park and will provide a fantastic focal point for live music fans throughout the day. RATT will be showcasing over a dozen young acts including the amazing Lawrence Sheriff School jazz band – a massive 18-piece jazz/swing/funk sound that promises to be the highlight of the day.
The programme for the day will be posted here as it gets finalised, but already at least ten acts are confirmed. Rugby is increasingly recognised as a hotbed of young musical talent and RATT is on a mission to provide opportunities and experience for budding artists from the borough.
With support from Rotary, Brown & Cockerill and DMX Stagetech, the RATTstage will include a large marquee area, the new larger RATTstage and the full sound and light experience. The audience area is close to the catering and bar facilities.
The RATTstage will be hosted by local award winning presenter Dan Sambell (Rugby FM, BBC C&W). David Head, one of the trustees at Rugby Area Talent Trust, said “We are incredibly proud to be part of Rugby Spring Fair and delighted to have created the opportunity for young musicians to get up there in front of a big crowd and show what they can do.”
